The scope of work is to perform a gut demolition of existing restaurant space (approximately 11,000 sq ft building), and remodel into a medium standard prototypical post office with retail store. The interior space is part of a strip commercial shopping center. Demolition includes removal of the following: ceramic tile, concrete floor slab, suspended ceiling system, exhaust fans, mechanical supply ducts, lighting, sprinkler heads, coolers, miscellaneous restaurant equipment/furniture and interior partitions. Work also includes site work at the mail loading docks (concrete, levelers, canopy, stairs, and ramps), installation of a drop box/flag pole in the public parking lot, installation of a monument sign, remodel of the entrance elevation wall with an exterior finish insulation system and aluminum storefront system. Interior construction includes complete interior tenant improvement of an existing high bay one story workroom space, including an elevated observation room, light gage metal stud drywall partition systems, fire sprinkler systems, mechanical distribution system, electrical power and lighting, closed circuit video security systems, suspended ceiling systems, roll-up door systems, vinyl composition floor tile, steel doors and frames, new restrooms and all other necessary work to make a complete and acceptable job. The estimated price range is between $650,000.00 and $800,000.00 with completion within 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 pm on August 12, 1996.
