Sources Sought-The Indian Health Service, Alaska Area Native Health Service has a requirement for the services of a professional moving company with extensive experience in relocation of Hospitals and/or Medical Centers. The new Alaska Native Medical Center, currently under construction, is anticipated to be fully operational by June 2, 1997. At 150 beds and 345,000 square feet, the new medical center will be approximately twice the size of the existing facility. This solicitation will also include relocation's to three additional buildings located on the same campus. Work to be performed by the perspective contractor consists of furnishing all personnel, rolling stock, equipment, tools, shoring materials, packing supplies, tarps, communication equipment and appropriate permits necessary to relocate the Alaska Native Medical Center, the Alaska Area Office Building, Primary Care Center and Center for Disease Control from their old facilities to their new facilities. This acquisition is being considered as a set aside for American Indian/Alaska Native owned firms under the authority of the Buy Indian Act. American Indian/Alaska Native owned organizations with an interest in submitting an offer for this project either as the prime contractor or a subcontractor should respond by July 18, 1996 with the following information: A description of your organization's qualifications; a summary of recent hospital relocation projects with dollar value and the name and phone number of the owners representative with whom you worked; the percentage of American Indian/Alaska Native ownership of your organization; and, to whether you anticipate participating as a prime contractor or subcontractor.
