Z -- REPLACE CHILLERS SOL 658-50-96 DUE 082796 POC Sue Dye, (540) 983-1049 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia, plans to issue a solicitation package for Project No. 658-95-105, Replace Chillers o/a 7/22/96. Awarded contractor will be required to completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of mechanical and electrical equipment and materials indicated (including asbestos containing material), and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Building 13 Chilled Water Plant modifications as required by drawings and specifications. The work includes but is not limited to the removal of two 600 ton chillers and associated cooling towers and installation of a new 1200 ton chiller and cooling tower. Construction cost estimate: $1,000,000 - $2,000,000. All work to be completed within 300 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. All bids MUST allow 120 days acceptance period. A non-refundable fee of $75.00 in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or money order, payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs must accompany all written requests for bids.
