This directorate intends to issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) F29650-96-QC044 on or about 22 Jul 96. Offers will be due approximately fifteen (15) days thereafter with an anticipated award date of 09 Aug 96. This acquisition will be accomplished under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and, as such, is limited to small business firms only. . All other firms are ineligible to submit offers. Firms interested in this RFQ must have a primary Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code of 2491 with a size standard of 500 employees. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 with an estimated performance period of 60 calendar days. In general the work requires the replacement of defective electric power poles in the Manzano area on Kirtland AFB and involves nine poles, eight in-line or span guy poles, and one corner pole. All poles with the exception of the span guy poles have communication lines attached to them and one pole will require the removal and re-installation of a 25KVA transformer. Funds are not presently available, however, they have been requested. This RFQ is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this RFQ.
