Gallatin County is requesting proposals for a study of the logistic and
economic feasibility of composting sewage treatment plan sludge and
septic tank sludge with municipal solid waste from Yellowstone National
Park and all or portions of seven southwest Montana counties. The
technical study would include waste stream analysis; compost
alternatives, including a cost analysis of transportation,
construction, personnel and operations; market analysis of compost
product; selection criteria for composting sites; public or private
operation alternatives; and public comment. Fifty percent (50%) of
documentation must be completed andpresented ninety (90) days after the
contract is executed. Ninety percent (90%) of documentation must be
completed 120 days after approval of the fifty percent documentation.
