The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS), Point Mugu, CA intends to procure a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for the design, fabrication, and testing of a prototype 4-inch aperture zoom telescope with a transit case and standard telescope manual for each telescope. The proposed contract is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The minimum quantity will be 1 and the maximum quantity will be 6 over a two year period of performance. The telescope's critical features are a variable focal length of up to 120 inches with an aperture diameter of 4 inches and a 90 degree bend in the optical axis. The zoom telescope will be a component of an airborne stabilized optical system (ASOS) and must have the following dimensions: Length must be 20 inches or less, height must be 10.5 inches or less, and width must be 22 inches or less. Delivery of the first zoom telescope is 6 months after award of contract. Delivery of units two (2) through six (6), if ordered, will be 6 months after issue of delivery order(s). FOB destination.
