Lucas, Contracting Officer, (907)384-7104 or via facsimile (907)384-7112 (Site Code DAHC76) The Contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, supplies and supervision to convert the heating system from steam to hydronic and add instantaneous domestic water heaters as detailed in the specifications and drawings for family housing units 340, 342, 343, 455, 456, 457, 458, 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 537, and 538 at Fort Richardson, Alaska. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following work: demolition of all steam heat exchangers, steam convectors and their associated piping and fittings and abatement of asbestos containing material on these items, installation of a new hydronic heating system including heat exchangers, convectors, pumps, make up systems and all associated hardware, installation of mechanical room entryways, disinfection and testing of all water lines affected by the work prior to returning them to service, replace electrical service to buildings 520-524, 537 and 538 and repair or replace all existing landscape work, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalks and pavement disturbed by construction. The project is estimated to be completed by 15 October 1997. The proposed procurement listed herein is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (P.L. 100-656). The applicable SIC Code is 1711, the size standard for which is $7M. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
