It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to purchase the following livestock feeders. (1) live stock feeder, heavy duty stainless steel, size: 12'6''L x 3'W x 3'7''H, quantity (4) each; (2) live stock feeder, heavy duty stainless steel, size: 9'11''L x 3'W x 3'7''H, quantity 4 each; (3) hanging live stock feeder, stainless steel, size: 7'8''L x 1'8-1/4''D x 3'1''H (including hooks), quantity (24) each; (4) hay and grain feeder (for horses, sheep, and swine) stainless steel, size: 2'6''W x 1'D x 4'6''H, quantity (14) each. The contractor will be required to provide one prototype each each feeder to the Government for review, inspection, and approval before manufacturing the required feeders. When the prototype feeder is approved that feeder shall be included as one of the required feeders. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to take field measurements of the existing feeders prior to manufacturing the prototype feeders. Interested vendors must request a copy of Request for Quotation number NHLBI-PS-SP-96-263 from the purchasing agent listed below. Quotations will be available on or about July 5, 1996. Quotations may be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or fifteen (15) calendar days after the RFQ is issued or whichever is later. Quotations will be evaluated for comformance to government specifications, price, quality, and delivery period. Any literature or other information of the product quoted or should also be included with the quotation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood, Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Rockledge Building, 2, Room 6143, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817-7902, Attention: Ms Deborah Coulter.
