The project involves all labor, material, equipment, tool, transportation, and performance of all operations required to perform the Rehabilitation and Addition to the Education Center, Bldg 1728, Hanscom AFB MA, in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. The principal items of work include but are not limited to: demolition of mobile classrooms supports and foundations, suspended ceilings, walls, framing, electric and HVAC systems. Provide a new fire suppression system with all connections and new finishes. Construct new permanent ceilings, corridors and ancillary spaces, including sitework, repair existing HVAC electrical lighting and fire detection work. There will be an optional bid item for additional classroom and courtyard. Similar principal items of work will apply for those items. Each bid item will have its own period of performance. The time to complete the project in its entirety will not exceed 240 calendar days. Some of the bid items may be worked on simultaneously, and some will be phased. Work in the contract will be phased. Some work will be required to be accomplished during non-standard working hours. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
