providing all labor and materials to construct two U.S. Magistrate
courtrooms, and three U.S. Magistrate Judges chambers, including
related support spaces. Currently, the entire fourth floor has had the
majority of the demolition, and asbestos abatement work completed.
Limited additional demolition, and localized asbestos abate- ment work
is required as a part of the base bid. The base bid includes, but is
not limited to; wall partitioning assemblies, architectural woodwork,
panel wood doors, various interior hardware, and finishes, mechanical
HVAC, plumbing, firesprinkling, electrical services, and all other work
as necessary to provide a complete funtioning facility at the John
Woods Courthouse, San Antonio, TX. Cost range of the project is $1
million to $5 million. Presolicition notice previoulsy appeared in CBD
4/19/96. This is a negotiated full and open competitive procurement
and will require submission of technical and price proposal in
accordance with the solicitation. Proposal due date is on or about

will be considered. This sysnopsis is amended as follows: This
procurement is a negotiated full and open competetive procurement with
a proposal due date of July 30, 1996. The following options will be a
part of the Total Base Bid: Option 1- Add courtroom 462 in vacant
space selectively demolished in the base bid. Work includes, but is not
limited to, minor selective demolition new partitions, doors, wood
platforms, finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and mechanical, electrical
and fire protection systems. Option 2 - Add Witness/Attorney
Conference Room 401 and 402. Work includes but is not limited to, minor
demolition of carpet and ceiling, new glass in metal frame partitions,
doors, finishes, and mechanical, electrical systems. Option 3- Change
base, wall and ceiling finishes in Rooms 422, 423, 426, 433, 434, 463
and 465 and add shelving to these rooms per plans 1/3A3 and 1/3A4.
Change finishes in 441 and 450, add shelving to S.E., N.E. and N.W.
walls of 441 and to S.E.,N.E. and N.W. walls of 450 per opt. notes on
3A2. Option 4- Add modification to Toilet Rooms 404 and 405 to meet
handicapped accessibility requirements. Modifications include but are
not limited to minor selective demolition, new partitions, toilet
compartments, screens and accessories, plumbing fixtures and wall and
