U -- CHAPTER 31 INITIAL EVALUATION SOL RFP-664-064-96:DA DUE 081296 POC Diane Atkeson, Contracting Office, (619) 552-7516 The VA Regional Office, San Diego, CA, has a requirement for the services of a responsible contractor capable of providing Chapter 31 Initial Evaluation to assist service-connected disabled veteran establish entitlement to Vocations Rehabilitation Services. The Initial Evaluation/Assessment is a vocationally oriented psychological evaluation. The scope of the assessment shall be comprehensive so as to assist each individual referred for this service to reach sound vocational and career conclusions. A Chapter 31 vocational assessment may include interviewing, information gathering, review and documentation of prior work and training, needs assessment, vocational and psychological testing, vocational exploration, determination of the effects of the individual's disabilities on training and/or employment, and development of a viable vocational rehabilitation plan which will lead to suitable employment.
