16 -- P-3/S-3 AIRCRAFT MODIFICATION KIT MANUFACTURE & INSTALLATION POC Contact, Paul Severino, Phone (703)604-2000 The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking sources to bid on a Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract through full and open competition to perform modifications on P-3 and S-3 aircraft. The proposed ID/IQ contract will include a base year plus two options and is expected to run from FY 1997 through FY 1999. The contract will include aircraft modification kit manufacture and aircraft kit installation for several programmed modifications to domestic P-3, S-3 and foreign military sales (FMS) P-3 aircraft. The ID/IQ contractor will be provided a complete technical data package from each modification so the effort will be essentially ''build to print'' and ''install to print'', with a minimum amount of non-recurring engineering, as needed, to tailor a specific modification from government supplied Technical Directives and Data Packages. The ID/IQ contract will use firm fixed price delivery orders to procure kit manufacture and installation. A draft Request For Proposal and Statement of Work will be sent to interested parties in response to this announcement and in anticipation of a formal RFP.
