(202) 267-6450. The U.S. Coast Guard has a requirement for multi-band
antennas for the Traffic and Collision Avoidance Systems I (TCAS I)
currently being installed in the HH-65A helicopter fleet. Requirements
pertinent to this procurement include frequency range, impedence,
system weight, system performance, and unique HH-65A physical
interfaces. More specifically, the antennas must meet the following
requirements: frequency range - 30-88 Mhz max VSWR 2.5:1, 108-400 Mhz
max VSWR 2.0:1, 960-1220 Mhz max VSWR 1.6:1; impedence - 50 Ohms;
specific gain - 30 Mhz: -14 dbi to -33 dbi, 88 Mhz: -6 dbi to -12 dbi,
108-400 Mhz: 0 dbi minimum, 960-1220 Mhz: 0 dbi minimum; maximum
weight: 2.5 pounds; mounting footprint and hole pattern identical to
AS-3191 UHF/VHF antenna; and antenna body contoured to form fit within
the upper tail fairing of the HH-65A. The U.S. Coast Guard intends to
award a contract to Chelton Antenna, Inc. Box 976698, Metro Park
Circle, Lewisville, Texas 76067. The intent of this synopsis is not to
request competitive proposals, but to determine if any other sources
exist. No formal solicitation document is available. A determination by
the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Information received will be considered solely for purpose
of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no
affirmative written responses are received within 15 calendar days
after publication of this synopsis to the effect that another vendor
can satisfy this requirement, a contract will be awarded to Chelton
Antenna, Inc. All sources interested in responding to this market
survey are requested to provide a brief description of their product
and any modifications that might be required in order to satisfy these
requirements. Elaborate responses are not required. All responses
should be addressed, in writing, to Maria Cooke, Commandant (G-ACS-4),
