SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis. No solicitation currently exists for this
requirement, but all responders will be put on a potential offerors'
list and will receive notification of any solicitation resulting from
this notice. Defense Mapping Agency(DMA)is planning the purchase of
facsimile repair services in accordance with FAR Part 12, on an
UNSCHEDULED, PER CALL, TIME and MATERIAL basis for fiscal year 1997.
Consequently, DMA is now searching the commercial market for potential
sources who can supply TIME AND MATERIALS hardware repair for the
following types of facsimiles: HEWLETT PACKARD (Models: C2890A, C3530A;
8 machines; located at Ft. Belvoir VA, Bethesda MD, Reston VA, McDill
AFB FL); LANIER (Models: 4200 and 5400AL; 8 machines; located at St.
Louis MO, Bethesda MD and Fairfax VD); RICOH (Models: 2700L, 65,85,
2800L, 3000L, 90; 52 Machines; located at Reston and Fairfax VA;
Bethesda MD; Edwards and Vandenberg AFB CA; US ADA Kwajalen; Holloman
AFB NM; White Sands NM; Patrick AFB FL); KONICA (Models: 800L 810L; 2
machines; located at St Louis MO); XEROX (Models: 295, 7010, 7011,
7012, 7020, 7021, 7024, 7033; 24 machines; located at St. Louis MO, Ft.
Belvoir VA, White Sands NM, Holloman AFB NM, Patrick AFB FL, Reston VA,

Somalia Africa, Cheyenne WY); BROTHERS (Models: 78MC; 1 machine;
located at: Ft. Belvoir VA); CANON (Models: MP6030, L785, L770, B340,
B140, 7000, L775, L770; 9 machines; located at: Riverdale MD, Bethesda
MD, Merrifield VA, Fort Belvoir VA, The Pentagon Washington DC); OMNI
(Models: JT30; 2 machines; located at: Philadelphia PA); SHARP
(Models: FO145; FO253, FO6100; 3 machines; located at: St. Louis MO and
Bethesda MD). DMA requires repair services to be performed both during
and outside of the principal period of performance which will be
0600-1500 local time, Monday through Friday. Services and requirements
to be performed (or adhered to) for the equipment listed above,
include the following: (1) Price will include labor, repair parts,
maintenance supplies, travel and other related services; (2) Contractor
shall supply all parts and maintain or have access to an inventory of
spare parts, tools, calibration and diagnostics equipment; (3) Repairs
will bring equipment to OEM condition; (4) Repairs will be completed
within 2 working days; (5) Repairs will be warranted for a minimum of
30 days; (6) Repairs shall be on-site unless there are extenuating
circumstances; (7) The contractor shall provide a contact point(s) (8)
Fully trained and competent maintenance personnel will perform all
repairs; (9) The Government reserves the right to add or remove
equipment. It is anticipated that this will be set aside for small
business on an ALL or NONE basis. However, all contractors, regardless
of size, are invited to submit documentation of their ability to do
part or all of the maintenance, either by location or type of machine
or both. By 20 July 1995, interested contractors are requested to mail
or fax the following information to the address or fax numbers above:
(1) their business size based on SIC code 4899, Communication Services
not elsewhere classified, $7.5 million; (2) specific machines they can
and will repair, or to which they take exception; (3) locations in
which they are willing to perform service; (4) what existing or planned
resources the contractor intends to utilize; (5) how the contractor
will address the problem of multiple locations and brand names; (6)
special contractor conditions; (7) supply return address, point of
contact and phone number; (8) for what period and time of day the
contractor will be available to perform repairs; and (9) whether the
contractor can supply trained and competent repair personnel with
security clearances. As a minimum submission, the contractor is
requested to indicate their willingness and ability to perform all or
part of the repairs for the above listed equipment and their business
size by 20 July either by fax or mail addressed to Marilyn Miller
