R -- PROVIDE ON-SITE LAUNDRY SERVICES FOR GOVERNMENT-OWNED LABORATORY AND DORMITORY COMPLEX ITEMS AT THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR TOXICOLOGICAL RESEARCH. DUE 072296 POC Sandra K. The facility consist of two (2) 55 pound capacity commercial washers and two (2) 75 pound capacity commercial dryers. The successful contractor will be required, within 120 days of award, to establish standard operating procedures, describing all tasks and procedures required for operating and managing a laundry facility. Services will consist of laundering soiled items, i.e., socks, undergarments, surgical hoods, cloth gloves, coveralls, surgical suits and towels, etc. None of the laundry items will be contaminated with any known chemical. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting all laundry for tears, missing buttons, elasticity retention; altering and/or mending; bagging, sealing and labeling all laundered items; wrapping items used in the Barriers in brown autoclave paper and labeling; ordering and maintaining an inventory of all cleaning supplies; and developing an efficient schedule of laundering items to insure that no area is without an adequate supply of laundered goods to meet their requirements. Negotiations are being conducted with Jenkins Memorial Childrens Center, 2410 Rike Drive, Pine Bluff, AR under Contract No. 222-93- 2004(C) for On-site Nontechnical Support and Ancillary Administrative Support Services.
