for Solicitation FCGS-Y1-93-0035-nt, invites you to offer products
under the new Technologies special item number (SIN) 581-1015 which has
been added to the group 66, part II, section T Federal supplyschedule.
This will be an open-continuouss (Evergreen) special item number.
Offers may be submitted at anytime. This requirement will be
synopsizedannually. The definition of the new Technologies special item
number (SIN) is a new product made available to the Commercial or
Government marketplace. This product must meet the special provisions
as outlined below. Offers for new technology items will be considered
only under the following conditions: A) the offeror must be capable of
demonstrating that the item meets at lease one of the following three
conditions which provide a product that is not otherwise available to
the Government; (1) performs a new task or procedure not currently
offered under any GSA contract; (2) performs an Old task or procedure
in a new way which technically exceeds current products; and (3)
improves an existing product so significantly that Government customers
will be negatively impacted if the item is not added to the schedule.
B) the product must be classifiable in a Federal supply class
identified in Federal supply schedule 66 II T. C) as determined by the
Government, there a NO similar items currently available under an
existing SIN or pending competitive acquisition. D) the product could
be included in an existing SIN or has the potential for inclusion
within the 66 II T schedule with a new SIN. There is NO implied
guarantee that the products offered will be recognized and accepted a
new technology. New offerors or current contractors must submit acover
letter, applicable technical brochures and current pricelist(S). All
material submitted will then be reviewed for acceptance by the
Government'stechnical experts. If the offered item(S) are found
acceptable by thegovernment, ''new offerors'' will be issued a copy of
the schedule 66 II tsolicitation along with all applicable amendments.
All forms would then be submitted to the Contracting Officer to be
evaluated for a contract. Current contractors will accepted new
technology items will be asked to submit amodification request to the
Contracting Officer. The new Technologies SIN is intended for the
temporary placement of products until the item(S) can be formally
placed under an existing or newly created SIN. New offerors and current
contractors understand that the item(S) must be offered under the
appropriate SIN during the next regular open Season/basicsolicitation,
or the item(S) will be canceled. It is the
oferors/contractorsresponsibility to be aware of the open Season/basic
Solicitation issuance. Questions concerning the items or categories of
