The government intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price type contract to PRAXAIR, Linde Division, 2300 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Wilmington, CA, for delivery of ultra-high purity hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen gasses which includes rental and maintenance of existing systems, owned by PRAXAIR. Performance will take place at Department of the Navy, the Naval Command, Control and Ocean Surveillance Center, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Division (NCCOSC RDTE DIV), San Diego, CA. The requirement is follow-on to existing contract N66001-93-C-0173, estimated to be for a (1) year base period with (2) one year options. The estimated quantity is in cubit feet as follows: 1,200,000 of hydrogen, 200,000 of oxygen and 17,000,000 of nitrogen. The estimated start date is 01 Oct 1996. Solicitation N66001-96-R-0121 will be prepared on Standard Form 1449, Commercial Item Solicitation/Contract, and issued in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation/contract. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-10.
