The principle features of work for project NKAK 93-1143 include, but are not limited to: (a) Widen and extend earth landing strip (approximately 30,000 CY of excavation and 28,000 CY or borrow material from on site borrow pit; (b) Grade and shape aircraft parking area and LAPES area; (c) Place crushed stone base course and aggregate surface course; (d) Place edge drains and extend pipe culverts; and (e) Establish vegetation on areas left barren by construction. This is a firm fixed price contract. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period will be 395 days. This procurement is being issued on an unrestricted basis with small disadvantaged business evaluation preference. This office proposes to issue IFB F03602-96-B0022 on or about 15 Jul 96.
