EDWARDS, (202) 231-2834 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of
the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is seeking sources capable of
providing resources and services for a Career/Life Resources Center
(CLRC). This center will provide a walk-in, self-help type service
which disseminates general and specific information on a wide variety
of programs and services. The contractor would maintain at DIA, a
comprehensive resource library of books, periodicals, pamphlets,
brochures, video, and audio tapes which are appropriate for the
work-life needs of DIA employees. At a minimum, the following subject
areas should be thoroughly addressed: child-care, elder-care,
parenting, wellness, personal productivity/effectiveness and other
work/life issues. Contractor will make maximum use of free materials.
The contractor will conduct or arrange for at least eight (8) seminars
for DIA employees on various work-life issues. Contractor will furnish
resource packets to participants. The contractor will organize and
facilitate monthly support groups for Working Parents, Children of
Aging Parents. Groups will be informal to promote discussion and
sharing of information. Participants will be notified of the latest
information in these areas. The contractor will produce a customized
monthly newsletter for DIA employees on topics of current interest as
determined by the contractor in conjunction with the CLRC staff.
Produce other publications and factsheets based on the needs and
interests of the DIA. It is essential that the contractor have prior
experience and demonstrated capability to provide the resources and
services outlined above. Demonstrated capability includes having
successfully provided similar services to other clients. The contractor
should already have established contacts with local, state, and
national agencies for the procurement of resources. Interested firms
are invited to submit, in writing, their responses to this sources
sought to the Defense Intelligence Agency, Attn: David Silvers, DAJ-1,
MacDill Boulevard, Building 6000, Bolling Air Force Base, Washington,
D.C. 20340-5100. Respondents should submit their information packages
to include brochures, drawing, and other substantive information
demonstrating the contractor's ability to provide the aforementioned
requirements. This is not a request for proposal nor does the
Government intend to pay for any information solicited. The information
received under this announcement will not be used to qualify any
source. It is for planning purposes only. Responses must refer to this
synopsis on both mailing envelopes and enclosures. Acknowledgment of
receipt will not be made, nor will telephone inquiries be honored.
