R -- REAL ESTATE CLOSING FOR SALE OF PROPERTIES ON WATER ISLAND, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS SOL 1425-96-SP-81-000KC DUE 072996 POC Contact Kent Charles, (303) 236-8040 extension 243 The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking firms to perform the necessary closing work involved with the sale of properties on Water Island from the U.S. Department of the Interior to sublessees on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands The firm selected must be licensed or have the necessary credentials to perform this service. The general sales contract and Quit Claim Deed will be provided to the selected firm. The buyers will be expected to have certified funds at closing which could be handled by mail. Should any closing require a mortgage with associated papers completed, all mortgage papers would be prepared by the mortgagee or the closing firm selected. The selected firm shall be bonded and will handle the collection and dispursement of all funds, as well as the process the necessary recordings with the Virgin Islands Government. Payment would be made on a per deed closed basis; the firm may close on as many as 150 deeds in a three-month period. (0169)
