258-2904 NASA Dryden Flight Research Center has a requirement to
obtain: Item 001-ASTROS Program, Version 12 - one paid-up license
allowing execution of the full ASTROS program on one class WS2
workstation. Program will be installed on a Sun Microsystem Sparc 5;
Item 002-one each full set of software documentation;Item 003-Training,
minimum 3 days, on-site at Dryden Flight Research Center. Vendor shall
provide software and documentation maintenance for 90 days at no
additional charge. Vendor shall provide customer support via local
office, 800 telephone number, hot-line, fax, or mail. Vendor shall
allow transfer of the paid-up license to any class WS2 workstation in
the same network, and provide assistance with installation. This will
be a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued
as a Request for Quotation No. E01544D. Solicitation document,
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 90-37. This procurement is intended to be 100%
set-aside for small business. The standard industrial classification
code is 7372. Small business size standard is $18.0 million. The small
business competitiveness demonstration program is not applicable.
Items shall be delivered FOB Destination to NASA Dryden Flight Research
Center, Edwards, CA 93523. Delivery date 8/30/96. No other brand shall
be considered. The following commercial items provisions and clauses
are applicable: 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5. DPAS rating
is DO-C9. Quotes are due NLT 3:00 pm PST, July 9, 1996, NASA Dryden,
