These redesigned canes have different frequency characteristics which eliminate inboard corner trailing edge fatigue cracking. The vanes have a thicker airfoil and modified twist, camber, and cord to maintain the same aerodynamic characteristics as the current vane. However, these vanes cannot be mixed with the current vanes due to their airfoil differences. The vanes are approximately five inches in span and one inch in cord, the material is A286. 470EA.
