Work will include but is not limited to remodeling existing office
space into courtroom and chambers area and work in the district clerk's
area. Provide demolition including ceilings, partitions, mechanical,
electrical and plumbing work; construct new courtroom and judges
chambers including new partitions, ceiling doors and frames,
architectural woodwork and other finishes; structural, new mechanical
and electrical work. Estimated Cost Range - $1 million - $5 million.
The project is being procured using informal Source Selection
Procedures which will result in a firm fixed-price award to the offeror
which provides the ''greatest value'' to the Government, with technical
ability being more important than price. Technical proposals, in the
form of resumes of three similar projects shall be submitted to the
address listed below no later than July 9, 1996, which is prior to the
issuance of the specifications and drawings. The term ''similar
projects'' shall be defined for evaluation purposes: Construction or
renovation of multi-story (three stories or greater, not including
basements) office buildings, court facilities or a combination thereof,
which were at least 50 percent occupied and functioning in their
intended purpose during construction of the project, and had a minimum
of 15 percent of the scheduled value of the project devoted to the
oversight and/or performance of architectural woodwork, mechanical,
electrical and structural work similar in dolllar range to this
procurement. 1. Past Performance of the Prime Contractor on
Similar-Type Projects. This factor considers the quality of the
offerors past performan ce in carrying out work of a similar nature
with reference to such considerations as timeliness, technical success
and within budget; Resume to include (1) the project's name, (2)
location, (3) award-amount of mill- work type experience and (4)
Type/use of facility and date completed for each similar project in
scope and dollar range. Resume shall provide the name, address and
current telephone number of the person from each of the following and
applicable categories which is most familiar with the projects
referenced above: (1) owners name and phone number, (2)Architect
/Engineer name and phone number and (3) construction Engineer (if any).
2. Experience and Past Performance of Architectural Woodwork
Subcontractor . This factor considers the quality of the offeror's
woodwork subcontractor in producing architectural woodwork similar
projects to the scope of work for this contract. Resume to include the
following information: For a minimum of three similar recent projects
(''Recent'' is defined as within approximately the last 5 years),(1)
name, address and telephone number of Architectural woodwork
subcontracotr, (2) State number of years company has been manufacturing
architectural woodwork, (3) name of Architectural woodwork firm's
Project Manager (Minimum 5 years exper- ience similar to this project),
(4) Project name, location and description (5) Scheduled value of the
architectural woodwork, (6) Construction start and completion dates (if
Construction is On-Going, state anticipated completion date), 7.
Description of actual work performed by the millwork firm. Resume shall
state how these projects are similar in scope to this project. Resume
shall provide the name, address and current telephone number of the
person from each of the following and applicable categories which is
most familiar with the projects referenced above: (1) Owners, (2)
Architect/Engineer and Construction Engineer (if any). Evaluation for
award will be based on the resume (technical) and price. Award of this
contract is contingent upon successful negotitions of a reasonable
price. However, award may be made without discussions. Solicitaiton
issue date is on or above July 12, 1996, with receipt of price
proposals due August 12, 1996. All interested parties shall submit the
above resume as a written request and prerequisite for plans and
specifications, referencing the above solicitation number to Natalie D.

Fort Worth, TX 76102-6105. No fax responses of resume and price
proposals shall be accepted for this procurement. All responsible and
