V -- LEASE OF ONE DIESEL SURVEY BOAT WITH OPERATING PERSONNEL SOL DACW38-96-B-0031 DUE 081396 POC Contract Specialist JERI MCGUFFIE (601) 631-5357 (Site Code CW38) Lease of one diesel survey boat with operator and crew for survey work in connection with the Vicksburg District dredging on the Mississippi River and tributaries. The boat will be used on the Mississippi River between Helena, Arkansas, (Mile 660 AHP) and Southwest Pass (Mile 0 AHP), Yazoo River from the mouth of the Yazoo Diversion Canal to Greenwood, Mississippi, and on the Old, Red, Black, and Ouachita Rivers from the Mississippi River to Camden, Arkansas, and on the White and Arkansas Rivers from the mouth of the White to Little Rock, Arkansas, Pearl River from Gulf of Mexico to Bogalusa, Louisiana, as may be designated by the Contracting Officer, in support of work units and channel patrols. The boat shall be twin-screw propeller type, driven by two marine diesels of not less than 180 horsepower each and shall be equipped with storage batteries. The boat shall conform to the following dimensions: length - not less that 38 ft. nor more than 45 ft.; beam - not less than 12 ft. nor more than 15 ft.; depth of hull - not less than 4 ft. nor more than 5.5 ft.; draft (under working conditions) maximum 3 ft.; deck space forward of cabin minimum 90 sq. ft.; deck space aft of cabin minimum 180 sq. ft.; walk space outboard of cabin, both port and starboard, a minimum width of 18 inches. If approval is granted, four option years may be included in the resulting solicitation. However, there is no guarantee that the options will be exercised.
