Negron, Contract Specialist, 804/445-1760; Jeanie Thorne, Contracting Officer The Government intends to negotiate a modification on a Sole Source basis with the North Carolina State Ports Authority (NCSPA) for port services in Wilmington and Morehead City, North Carolina as required by the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Norfolk, VA for the period of 01 August 1996 through 30 September 1996. This modification will increase the quantities under LOT V (Fourth Option Year) to allow for increased performance under contract N00189-91-D-0298 which expired 31 March 1996 and was extended on 29 March 1996 to cover services required from 01 April 1996 through 31 July 1996. This modification to the existing contract will ensure continuity of critical services. NCSPA is the only entity authorized by the State of North Carolina to perform the required services. The estimated dollar value of this modification is approximately $50,000.00. In addition, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clause 52.217-8 OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES (Aug 1989) is incorporated as part of this modification. (0164)
