AIR FORCE INVESTIGATION INTO NEW AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES PERTAINING
TO DE-ICING OF AIRCRAFT AND RUNWAYS -- The Air Force is seeking new and
innovative technologies to comply with the new Clean Water Act (CWA)
storm water runoff regulations in its aircraft and runway
de-icing/anti-icing operations. The Air Force operates out of many
small bases and uses various chemicals such as propylene glycol,
potassium acetate and urea. Request information on new environmentally
safe chemicals and technologies that may be used by the Air Force to
meet the new stormwater runoff regulations. Technologies may include
low cost glycol capturing equipment, more efficient equipment for
applying chemicals, alternative chemical products, new non-chemical
deicing methods, treatment technologies, etc. Companies which desire to
make their products known to the Air Force are invited to submit
company literature to the Air Force by 30 June 1996. Please do not
