Due to the proprietary nature of the procurement, the Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), intends to issue a sole-source solicitation/contract to BMC Software, Inc., 2101 City West Blvd, Houston TX 77042. The solicitation will provide for a 16 months (01 Oct 96-31 Jan 98) of software lease and software maintenance support for BMC Software, Inc. proprietary product names: Delta IMS VT (virtual), Image copy plus, load plus, pointer checker, and Unload plus. The software is to be installed at DMC-Tinker. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 40 U.S.C. 759(g), as amended, specific make and model. Any interested vendors shall indicate interest within 15 days of this notice by providing to the Contracting Officer (FAX 618-256-9414, Attn: Theresa Elliott) evidence of capability to perform and a description of the comparable software. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
