FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia intends to acquire, through a TASK ORDER under DECCO BASIC ORDERING AGREEMENT DCA200-93-G-0001 with Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T) of Silver Springs, MD, two MERLIN LEGEND II telephone systems for NETC Newport, Building #1. This order is being placed on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 with Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T) since they are the only known source for these systems. All responsible sources may submit concise documentation as to their ability to supply the required MERLIN LEGEND II, as well as financial and technical information which shall be considered equally by this Detachment. If no affirmative written responses, advantageous to the Navy, are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, a delivery order will be issued to Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T) under DECCO BOA DCA200-93-G-0001. Note, no contract award will be made on the basis of information received in response to this notice. Further, the Navy will not pay for any information provided.
