R -- PROFESSIONAL ENCODING SERVICES IN SPECIALIST LEXICON UNIT FORMAT SOL 96-037 DUE 070396 POC Daniel J. Hartinger, (301) 496-6546. It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure encoding services for a fixed-price type of purchase order for a one (01) year period of performance. It is anticipated that the NLM will award approximately two (02) purchase orders from this solicitation. The vendors shall encode lexical items in SPECIALIST Lexicon unit record format as specified in the appendix to the statement of work, using Government supplied lexicon building software and equipment. The vendors shall be given lists of words to be coded and shall return completed work to NLM to be verified by NLM staff. This work requires expertise in English language linguistics and familiarity with the Specialist Lexicon and the tools used to encode SPECIALIST Lexicon records. Request for Quotations (RFQ) Number 96-037 will be issued on approximately June 17, 1996.
