Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC), management and operating contractor for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site (SRS) near Aiken, South Carolina, is holding a High Level Waste Vendor Forum on June 13, 1996, to address selected High Level Waste Management processes at SRS which represent opportunities for application of improved state-of-the-art technologies and procedures. Opportunities exist for improvements in the following general areas: tank sampling and probing; unit operation improvement or replacement; processes to recycle or decompose process chemicals; and alternative process to stabilize low level waste. Interested parties should read the abstracts which can be accessed on or after May 16, 1996, via computer modem 24 hours a day on the WSRC Electronic Bulletin Board system and/or by access to the World Wide Web. The High Level Waste Vendor Forum is scheduled for June 13, 1996, at the Augusta Civic Center Exhibit Hall in Augusta, Georgia, starting at 9:00 A.M. EDST. After reading the abstracts, expressions of interest in contributing solutions to the technical challenges described may be mailed to Westinghouse Savannah River Company, Attention: Brian Aring, CPCM, or Thomas Miniard, Ref.
