The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has a requirement for a contractor to provide the necessary labor, repair parts, maintenance supplies, tools, test equipment, transportation, documentation, maintenance diagnostic routine, and otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the achievement of 90% effective operational performance level of Data General computer and peripheral equipment. The NRC currently has four Data General Computers that support critical production systems whicih include payroll, personnel, accounting and budget, property and document control. The current Firm Fixed Price contract is held by Data General Corporation, McLean, Virginia and will expire 12/31/96. The base year for this follow-on effort will begin 1/1/97 and end 12/31/2001 with four one year option periods. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns, i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
