Only the source(s) previously approved by the government for this item have been solicited. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in production of the same or similar item, or if this is an item you have never made. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at ASO, submit with your offer a copy of the cover letter which forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Only Curtiss Wright Flight Systems, Fairfield, NJ (71791), will be solicited as the articles to be repaired are highly specialized parts for which the requisite technical data is not available from other than the aforementioned concern. The solicitation will be issued with estimated quantities for each year of a 5 year ordering period. Included will be minimum and maximum repair quantites.In addition to the above item, the solicitation will provide for repair of 117 ea ch Flap Brake, P/N 180740-26, 160 each Flap Brake, P/N 180740-27, 170 each Flap Brake, P/N 180740-28, and 748 each Slat Brake, P/N 180860-4. All quantities are estimates for the 5 year period.
