Contract Specialist Pat Hensley (205) 895-1167 (FAX 1197). The U.S.
Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville has a requirement for
the procurement of facility energy conservation projects; repair
projects; maintenance projects; and rehabilitation projects for
Federal, State, and Local Government installations and facilities
domestic and foreign. The contractor is to provide quick response to
situations relating, but not limited to, energy conservation; repair,
maintenance, and rehabilitation. Applicable responses include, but is
not necessarily limited to the following categories of work: (1)
Architectural, (2) Civil, (3) Cost, (4) Electrical, (5) Environmental,
(6) Mechanical, (7) Safety, (8) Structural, (9) Systems, (10) Asbestos
and/or Lead Based Paint Abatement, (11) On-Site Inspection and
Checkout, (12) Demolition and/or Temporary Removal and Reinstallation
of Supporting Elements, and (13) Surveys and Assessments of
Systems/Equipment. This objective shall be achieved through the
implementation of task orders issued under the terms of this contract
for all of the herein described tasks or additional tasks described in
specific task orders. It is anticipated that up to four (4) contracts
may be awarded from the solicitation, with the intent of at least one
(1) being awarded to small business. The proposed period of
performance for each contract will be a one year with four one year
options commencing immediately upon award. The type of contract that
shall be awarded as a result of this solicitation is an indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract with capability of
time-and-materials orders and fixed price orders. A technical proposal
will be required from all offerors. The significant evaluation factors
will be technical and past experience, management, and cost. The
solicitation will be issued on or before 12 June 1996. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this
agency. This is a partial set-aside for small business; the Standard
Industrial Code applicable to this acquisition is 8744 with a business
size standard of 500 employees. Contractor must furnish business size
with written requests (i.e., small business, large business). Requests
