Proposed procurement 96-2167 Contractor Field Services (CFS) in support of the following: non-personal representative technical services for the purpose of informing, instructing, and training Navy personnel in the installation, operation and maintenance of the TF30, J52, and JT8D engines. The tasks will comprise one basic year plus one option year in the following NAS locations: Miramar and Whidbey in CA, Norfolk and Oceana in VA, Dallas, TX, and Atlanta, GA as currently estimated by Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit, (NAESU). Security clearances will be required. The proposed effort will commence on 97 March 01. This period covers the Government's minimum needs for this requirement. Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Pratt and Whitney Company as the OEM and the only known source with the required technical and engineering expertise, ''in-plant'' support and requisite data base to perform the required services.
