synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in the Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation
No. 52-PAPT-6-00020 should be referenced on all responces and is issued
as a Request for Proposal(RFP). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Aquisition Circular 90-37. The Standard Industrial Classification Code
for this requirement is 7372. This is a Firm-Fixed Price(FFP)
requirement. This solicitation is for the upgrade of licenses for
ATTACHMATE SOFTWARE. Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 is for
''USER INFOCONNECT INTERCOM OTS LICENSE UPGRADE MAINTENANCE'', Period
of coverage September 30, 1996 - September 30, 1999; CLIN 0002 is for
''SUPPORTWARE ELITE PROGRAM MAINTENANCE LICENSE RENEWAL'', Period of
coverage September 30, 1996 to September 30, 1999; CLIN 0003 is for ''A
SERIES FILEXPRESS ANNUAL MAINTENANCE LICENSE RENEWAL'', Period of
coverage September 30, 1996 - September 30, 1999. Delivery schedule: 30
days after contract award. FOB Destination to: The U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office, 2121 Crystal Drive, Crystal Park Two, Suite 1005,
Arlington, VA 22202. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-- Commercial, and FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items,
applies to this aquisition. The Government will award a contract
resulting from this synopsis to the responsible offeror whose offer
conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the
Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors
shall be used to evaluate offers and are listed in their relative order
of importance: (i)technical capability to provide the items needed to
meet the Government's requirement; (ii)price; and (iii)past
experience/performance in a comparable technical environment. Technical
capability and past experience/performance, when combined are
approximately equal to price. Submissions should include: (a)pricing
for CLIN'S 0001, 0002, and 0003; and (b)show the ability to provide
authorized License's and/or Certificate's of Authenticity for the
CLIN's listed above, product literature or documentation that states
the terms of agreement for licenses, discusses maintenance support, and
warranty provisions. All offers are due on June 10, 1996, 2:00pm
