R -- WEATHER OBSERVATION SERVICE AT REDDING, CA AND PHOENIX, AZ SOL DTFA08-96-R-06570 POC ALice Clark (310) 725-7563 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western-Pacific Region intends to issue this solicitation to individuals off of an established list of 4 qualified vendors for weather observation services at Redding, CA and Phoenix, AZ. The contractor will furnish a number of National Weather Service certified weather observers necessary to record, document, and disseminate basic aviation observations on a (1) 24 hour 7 days per week basis, including all holidays at the Phoenix, Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, AZ starting August 1, 1996; and, (2) a 7 hour per day (2130-0630 time frame), on a 7 day per week basis, including all holidays at the Redding Air Traffic Control Tower, Redding Municipal Airport, Redding, CA, starting July 1, 1996. The FAA intends to negotiate with the prequalified 4 vendors for this service. No additional requests for this solicitation will be accepted.
