J -- MAINTENANCE, REPAIR OF UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEMS SOL F05604 96T9466 DUE 060596 POC Marcia Vigil, Buyer, (719) 556-7704; Dianne Garrison, Contracting Officer, (719) 556-4285. Maintenance contract to provide 24 hour, 7 day per week emergency service coupled with one major preventive maintenance inspection for seventeen Exide uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS) in several buildings. Contractor to respond within four hours of notification of equipment malfunction. Contractor must furnish all parts, tools, and labor necessary for emergency repairs and preventive maintenance inspections. The preventive maintenance inspection will include but is not limited to the following activities: a. complete visual inspection; b. check all mechanical and electrical connections; c. clean away any foreign material; d. status check all alarm circuits; e. calibration of the UPS to manufacturer's specifications; f. operational check-out of the UPS system; g. accomplish any engineering field maintenance; h. return unit to operational service with normal load; i. provide Civil Engineering point of contact with written report of all maintenance performed and all parts used. Special Requirements: The contractor will be working in controlled areas and must be escorted at all times. An access letter must be submitted to PAFB Civil Engineering, with the names, social security numbers, and security clearances (if any) of each person. The contractor must be capable of performing the work after 5:00 p.m. weekdays or on a Saturday if necessary. The dates and times that the work will be assigned will be scheduled with the contractor 30 days prior to required maintenance date but are subject to change. This acquisition is unrestricted. Period of Performance: 10 June 96- 30 Sept 96. All quotes must be in writing and may be faxed to (719) 556-4538 no later than 5 June 96. (0138)
