The work to be performed includes the following principal features: Preparation and painting of all existing previously painted exterior surfaces of buildings listed in the specifications. Some surfaces may have been identified by the Government as coated with lead based paints (LBP). Contract requirement pertaining to LBP is not wholesale abatement of the coatings, only the appropriate surface preparation, debris collection and painting. The foregoing outline of principal features does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all materials required or associated with this type of work. The estimated issue date for this project is 6 June 1996.
