(Site Code DAKF57) Provide all labor, material, and equipment to install backflow preventors and backflow prevention plumbing modifications in approximately 18 buildings at Fort Lewis, Washington. This work requires the installation of two types of Backflow Prevention Assemblies: (1) Reduced Pressure Backflow Assemblies (RPBAs) and (2) Double Check Valve Assemblies (DCVAs). Some locations will require pipe insulation to be removed or disturbed to install BPAs and appurtenant piping and fittings. Installation of backflow preventors and any plumbing modifications will include work that involves: demolition; trenching and backfilling for utilities systems; plumbing; and thermal insulation for mechanical systems. Completion time is 120 calendar days. The estimated cost for this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation will be issued as unrestricted.(0137)
