Z -- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: MAINTAIN/REPAIR/ALTER HEADQUARTERS BUILDING 316 Sol Project JLSS 93-0003 due 072896. Contact Fred Shamonsky, 412-474-8125, Contracting Officer Daniel C. Lucci, 412-474-8119, facsimile 412-474-8410. Maintain/Repair/Alter Headquarters Building 316. Work includes but is not limited to replacing all interior finishes such as paint, wall coverings, carpet, vinyl tile, rubber stair well treads & landings, interior signage and doors with frames. Install drywall over interior concrete block walls & finish. Frame Stair tread bottoms, cover with drywall and finish. Demolish and construct selected interior partition walls. Install suspended ceilings including light fixtures. Replace individual emergency lighting fixtures with new fixtures and central battery bank. Replace rest room plumbing fixtures, ceramic tile floor/walls and partitions. Replace sidewalks, curbs and exterior stair. Replace heating water control valves, piping and provide control of the boiler from a remote network HVAC control system. Install a fire suppression system and modify existing fire alarm system. Enlarge two building entrances including footings, brick veneer and roof system, and landscape. Construct a three story enclosed elevator on west side of building. Modify existing hall and rooms for elevator lobby. Construct remaining walls and landscape. Perform all work under a single lump sum firm fixed-price contract. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents. Solicitation package will be available o/a 28 Jun 1996. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). This solicitation will be issued under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered. The estimated cost ranges between $500,000 and $1,000,000. (136)
