COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MAY 20,1996 PSA#1598U.S. Railroad Retirement Board, Purchasing Division, Room 1230, 844
North Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois 60611-2092 U -- EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY TRAINING SEMINARS POC Karen
Haskins-Brewer (312/751-4615). The U.S. Railroad Retirement Board (RRB)
seeks sources to provide Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) training
seminars for approximately 225 RRB managers and supervisors ranging in
grade from GS-7 to SES. We anticipate class sizes not to exceed 25
managers and supervisors. The seminars should integrate the topical
areas of EEO, affirmative employment, diversity, leadership, sound
human resource management and personnel practices - especially during
agency downsizing. In designing the training module, the trainer should
take into consideration that this will be the first exposure that most
of the 225 employees will have to this type of training. Companies
having the ability to furnish this type of training are requested to
give written notice (including telephone number for a point of contact)
and detailed data regarding capability to perform this training.
Information on the following service provisions is required: 1) course
content and design, i.e., subject matter; 2) teaching methodologies,
e.g., lecture, role-playing; 3) a list of training and resource
material provided; 4) optimum and maximum seminar size; and 5) ability
to provide a training site in Chicago, Illinois, within the boundaries
of Division Street, Roosevelt Road, Orleans Street and Lake Michigan.
Potential vendors should also provide the following information: 1)
proposed trainers/facilitators with a biography/resume on each
individual; 2) a sample syllabus for 2- and/or 3-consecutive day
seminars; 3) a pricing schedule with separate quotes for 2- and 3-day
seminars at optimum and maximum class sizes; 4) detail at least three
contracts and/or purchase orders with which your firm provided the
above defined services, numbers, a client contact and telephone number,
and a description of similar training provided to public and/or private
sector clients; and 5) standard company charges for round trip air
fare, in-city commuting charges and per diem for Chicago, Illinois. The
vendor hardcopy documents must be received at the RRB no later than 15
calendar days after publication of this notice. THIS IS NOT A Request
for Proposals (RFP). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. No telephone
calls will be accepted. Any further questions regarding this Request
for Information (RFI) must be in writing on company letterhead and can
be faxed to Ms. Karen Haskins-Brewer of the RRB Purchasing Division at
312/751-4923. The RRB shall not send an acknowledgment of receipt of
any firm's information submission. (136) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0100 19960517\U-0004.SOL)
