BELGIUM: MARKETING OF GAS CYLINDERS The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/NOTIF. 96.117. 1. Member to Agreement notifying: BELGIUM. ICS numbers may be provided in addition, where applicable): Gas cylinders of foreign origin not covered by Optional Directives 84/525/EEC, 84/526/EEC and 84/527/EEC. 5. Description of content: The purpose of the Order is to allow the marketing of gas cylinders which do not comply with the provisions of Articles 350 to 354 of the General Regulations on Occupational Safety. 6. Description of content: The purpose of the Order is to allow the marketing of gas cylinders which do not comply with the provisions of Articles 350 to 354 of the General Regulations on Occupational Safety, but have been lawfully manufactured and/or commercialized in another member State in accordance with requirements that ensure appropriate and adequate safety. 7. Objective and rationale: To introduce into the Regulations a mutual recognition clause for gas cylinders lawfully manufactured and/or commercialized in another member State. Development of a sufficiently flexible and rapid procedure for granting such recognition. 8. Relevant documents: Articles 350 to 354 of the General Regulations on Occupational Safety. Ministerial Order of 18 November 1991 waiving the requirements of Articles 350 to 354 of the General Regulations on Occupational Safety (to be repealed). 9.
