circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.118. 1.

Gas cylinders covered by Optional Directives 84/525/EEC, 84/526/EEC and
84/527/EEC but not constructed and/or accepted in conformity with these
optional directives. 5. Title, number of pages and language(s) of the
notified document: Ministerial Order Waiving the Provisions of Articles
2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 of the Royal Order of 12 June 1989 Implementing the
Directives of the Council of the European Communities Relating to
Seamless Steel Gas Cylinders, Seamless Unalloyed Aluminium and
Aluminium Alloy Gas Cylinders and Welded Unalloyed Steel Gas Cylinders.
6. Description of content: The purpose of the Order is to allow the
marketing of gas cylinders which do not comply with the provisions of
Optional Directives 84/525/EEC, 84/526/EEC and 84/527/EEC, or do not
comply with the provisions of the Royal Order of 12 June 1989, but have
been lawfully manufactured and/or commercialized in another member
State in accordance with requirements that ensure appropriate and
adequate safety. 7. Objective and rationale: To introduce into the
Regulations a mutual recognition clause for gas cylinders lawfully
manufactured and/or commercialized in another member State. Development
of a sufficiently flexible and rapid procedure for granting such
recognition. 8. Relevant documents: Royal Order of 12 June 1989
implementing the Directives of the Council of the European Communities
relating to seamless steel gas cylinders, seamless-unalloyed aluminium
and aluminium alloy gas cylinders and welded unalloyed steel gas
cylinders. 9. Proposed date of adoption - Proposed date of entry into
