The Government intends to procure under the Simplified Acquisition procedures; for Biological Studies to develop an Arundo Management Plan and evaluate control methods. Contractor is to enhance endangered species habitat and provide data for an exotic Riparian Plant Management Program which will support military training activities and facilities develop/maintenance on Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, hereafter referred to as the Station. Provide the Station with data on control methods for Arundo Donax. The work will involve field tests of Arundo eradication methodology on the Riparian areas within the Station, primarly the Santa Margarita River and its tributaries. The Control will apply one or more methods of Arundo control on test plots within a designated area, provide a written report on effectiveness of these methods and any problems encountered and recommendations for future control efforts on the Station based on his/her experiences.
