Novello, (609) 724-6090. This is a Pre-Solicitation notice. The New Jersey National Guard proposes to award a contract for the construction of a Consolidated Aircraft Parking Apron for the New Jersey National Guard, McGuire AFB, New Jersey. The Parking Apron consists of 75,000 square yards of reinforced concrete to include tiedowns, pavement painting, apron lighting, hydrant refueling pits, and an asphalt edge around the apron. This project also includes the Alteration of 22,300 square feet of space for Operations and Training which requires the contractor to relocate walls and utilities, provide heating and air conditioning system, and demolish six (6) buildings (approximately 23,500 SF). This solicitation may provide for multiple line items and additive bids, all of which must be addressed in order to be considered for this solicitation. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials required to perform the work in strict accordance with the contract documents. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Only prime contractors should reply. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification number is 1541. All requests for solicitation packages must include solicitation number, point of contact, telephone number and facsimile number. Bidders must also identify their status as small disadvantaged business (SDB), emerging small business (ESB), section 8(a) small business act contractors, small business or large business. This solicitation is unrestricted. Women-owned, small and small disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to compete. A Sub-contracting plan will be required if the successful bidder is a large business. A non-refundable charge is required for each solicitation package. Only two solicitation packages will be issued per contractor. The approximate cost is $200.00 per package. Requests for bid documents must be in writing accompanied by a check made payable to the US Treasury. Facsimile and telephone requests will not be accepted. The bid number should be identified in all correspondence. Bid packages will available on or about July 1, 1996.
