The U.S. Army Communications Commmand is seeking interested sources for the Replacement Batson (RBATSON). The RBATSON is Ground Operating Equipment (GOE) that is designated KI-34. It consists of a Key Generator/Data Processing Assembly digital chassis (KIG-34), and a Frequency Generator/Radio Frequency (RF) Transmission Assembly RF chassis (KIT-34). Maintenance Test Equipment (MTE) for the KI-34 RBATSON and the interfacing KI-31 Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) of the BATSON II is designated the KT-43A. The KI-34 RBATSON is to replace the KI-32 BATSON II GOE, that is used in the Satellite Configuration Control Element (SCCE). There are three versions of the SCCE. These are the Contingency (CSCCE) version, the Production (PSCCE) version and the Replacement (RSCCE) version. The RBATSON will provide Cryptographic protection of the command and telemetry signals between the SCCEs and Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) III satellites. The estimated quantity to be procured is thirty-eight (38) each to be delivered to various sites. THE U.S. ARMY COMMUNICATIONS ELECTRONICS COMMAND (CECOM) HAS ESTABLISHED AN ELECTRONIC BULLETIN BOARD (EBB) TO PROVIDE ELECTRONIC TRANSMITTAL OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFPs) AND INVITATIONS FOR BIDS (IFBs) FROM GOVERNMENT TO INDUSTRY.
