The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issues orders to Electric Boat Corporation (EB) under an ordering provision contained in N00024-95-C-2103 for research and development materials, prototype hardware and/or minor R&D studies for the New Attack Submarine program. These material purchases and R&D studies will address: hull coatings; shock; air, water, desalination, hydraulics, electrical and auxiliary systems; electromagnetic actuator; torpedo tube, weapon handling and stowage; vertical launch systems; command and control systems; ship control station and components; combat launch system; EPRI SIF optimization; ASDS/DSRV; enhanced ICCP; battery compartment subsystems; structurally integrated enclosures; and HFC-134A airconditioning. These efforts form an integral part of the R&D development efforts EB is currently performing under contract N00024-95-C-2103.
