Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Florida intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to RD Instruments, 9855 Business Park Ave. San Diego, CA for one (1) each RD Instruments Model DVL-D1-300ELEC Rack Mounted electronics, cables, software and documentation for a RDI Vessel Mounted Broadband Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler System. The system will be configured with the following: RD Instruments Model DVL-D1-300ELEC Rack Mounted Electronics, Model XV300-10A ten (10) inch diameter aluminum head hydrophone with three (3) inch ceramics, a 15 meter length hydrophone cable, software and documentation. RD Instruments is the only company that produces an acoustic doppler current profiler which will simultaneously measure water current velocities and ships speed.
