for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice--This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued--This solicitation is being
issued as a sole source acquisition with REMOTEC, Oak Ridge, Tennessee,
for an ANDROS Mark VI-A robot, Request For Proposal (RFP) Number 6962,
as a Firm-Fixed-Price contract--The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 90-37--This solicitation is not a small business
set-aside--Contract line items are as follows: 001) ANDROS Mark VI-A
Robot Vehicle Assembly, consisting of the following specifications:
Double-Articulated, Tracked Chassis; Manipulator Arm with shoulder and
elbow pivot; Gripper with continuous wrist rotate; Arm Black/White
Camera with auto iris/focus, wide-angle lens, and light; Surveillance
Color Camera with light, 6:1 zoom lens, and Pan/Tilt; Two (2) 24
amp-hour, 12 VDC Gell-cell batteries; 24 VDC battery charger; Tool kit;
Operating/Maintenance Manual (1 copy) -- 002) Andros Control Station
Assembly -- Two-Wheeled Cart with pneumatic tires; one (1) 12 VDC, 55
Amp.-Hour Gell-Cell battery; Color TV monitor (13 inches); Two-way
Audio with speaker and headphone jack; Portable switchbox; Reel with
100mm (500 ft.) replaceable cable; VCR Jack (video and audio
recording); 120 (or 240) VAC/12 VDC power supply; 120 (or 240) VAC
cable with ground fault -- 003) Packaging in reusable shipping crates

Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition--All offerors
shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3,
Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its
offer--The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial
Items, applies to this acquisition--Addendum to paragraph (g) -
Invoices shall be submitted to the address listed above--Addendum to
paragraph (o)-Warranty shall be for one year from acceptance of
equipment--The clause at 52.212-5 is incorporated with the following
optional clauses at paragraph (b) applicable: Subparagraphs (3), (4),
(6), (7), (8), (10), (11), and (15)--Facsimiles of quotes will not be
accepted--All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed above
no later than 4:00pm local time, May 24, 1996--The right is reserved
to determine certain information be requested under the purview of the
