426-3052 Contracting Officer The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
has a project for the renovation of the second floor of the Air Traffic
Control Tower (ATCT), and for the construction of a 92' x 36' base
building and an enclosed walkway for the ATCT located at
Springfield-Branson Regional Airport, Springfield, Missouri. The price
range of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This
announcement is to identify firms who have extensive experience as the
PRIME in projects of this size and nature. The FAA plans to start work
on this project in September 1996. Prime contractors with the
respective capability to perform this entire project should submit a
letter indicating interest to the Federal Aviation Administration, 601
E. 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106 Attn: C. O. Shepard, Jr.
Letters must be received by May 30, 1996. A questionnaire will be
forwarded to those firms requesting information and will be utilized in
determining the firms most qualified to perform this project. The most
qualified firms will subsequently be provided the plans and
specifications for review and asked to submit a price offer for the
work. The FAA may accept the lowest priced offer without discussions,
however, discussions and/or negotiations may be conducted with these
firms to determine the contractor offering the best value. Contract
award will be to the contractor offering the best value to the FAA.
